This boat was built by my father John Sinnock during the 70's and early 80's. He launched the boat most years (especially the earlier ones) and unfortunately left it on land a few too many years near the end. Last year ('04) the boat was worked on extensively and saw a return to the water for the first time in many years. The boat proved to still have a number of problems. This year ('05), the boat was given to me due to my love of sailing and willingness to work hard to further restore the boat. My wife and I worked hard this year on rebuilding the centerboard trunk and surrounding bottom area. The C'board was restored and a new skeg made for Dylan. There was a lot of ancillary rot removed. I'm happy to report that she floats really well this year with only some small lingering leaks.
All in all, April and I are having a blast on it. We don't miss any weekends on it. More improvements, cosmetic fixes and conveniences will be added over the coming years. - Les
