Remarks:
Maru was rescued from a forgotten anchorage in Baja about 10 years ago by a European couple. She is vented wing now but John Marples says she was once an A Frame and has been converted. She is standard design otherwise, a bit heavy due to a thick layer of fiberglass mat on the bottom. The construction overall is excellent. John Marples and I have both tried to find some history on her but have come up empty so far. The name Maru was on her when the European couple found her and we have kept it as well.(I find renaming boats a dangerous undertaking) If you know of a West Coast boat like her, please get in touch with me, I would love to know her history.
